The Art Society Surrey Heath, previously known as Surrey Heath Decorative and Fine Arts Society, was founded in 1995 by a local resident, Sue Oaten, who is now our Honorary Life President. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 10:30 am at Chobham Golf Club (Doors open at 9:45 am) for lectures on a wide variety of Art Society Speakers who are specialists in their subject. There is no meeting in August.                                 

There are organised visits to places of cultural interest including buildings of historical or architectural value, gardens, museums and art galleries. These visits often take members to sites or events that may be less well known or to which only Art Society groups have access.

There are also popular holidays in the UK and Europe to places of interest.

We have around 190 members but there can be a waiting list to join due to the constraints in the hall.                                                                                                           

We encourage members to take part in Heritage Volunteering and Young Arts activities.  Study days and cultural tours are also organised by the Art Society nationally and the Art Society East Surrey Area.
